The Riccarton Park Course Proper has been given the green light for racing to resume at the racemeeting scheduled for Saturday 28 January 2023.  This follows an extensive renovation project over the past nine weeks.

A 1400 metres jumpout preceded by track gallops took place on the Course Proper on Friday morning, 20 January under the inspection of RIB Stipendiary Stewards, NZTR Regional Track Advisor, NZTR National Riding Mentor and Riccarton Park personnel.

Feedback from the seven jockeys who rode, and the participants above has confirmed that racing will proceed as planned on Saturday 28 January 2023.

The Woodbourne Tavern & Motels Bottle-O Renwick Marlborough Cup $60,000, 2000 metres and the Speight’s Timaru Stakes, $65,000, 1400 metres head a nine race Feature meeting programme.
