Hezzarockstar won the two-year-old event, one of three winners for Jamie Bullard
- As they did at the previous meeting with PERLINO the Mark Walker / Sam Bergerson partnership won the opening race on the fourth day of the Riccarton Park Summer Season this time with AISHITERU. Stable apprentice Hayley Hassman rode the three-year-old filly.
- Local trainer and retired dual Group 1 winning jockey Jamie Bullard had the best day of his training career preparing three winners. All ridden by Waipukurau jockey Kate Hercock. HEZZAROCSTAR impressively won the two-year-old race, four races later THE BOSS LADY took out the Freeman Irrigation Rating 65 and the very next race VILLASANTI scored the second win of his career to take his record to two wins, six seconds and four thirds from 12 starts.
- Visiting northern apprentice Jack Taplin who had been injured in a race fall here at Riccarton Park back in September had a profitable return to the course with two winning rides, WARRIOR OF WAR for Danny Crozier and THE ENTERTAINER for Anna Furlong.
- The Corin & Bobbity Murfitt Rating 75 was the last on the day with Te Akau book-ending the programme with COURT OF APPEAL. Bruno Queiroz rode the winner.
