Zadane and connections post race.
- Unfortunately, 40mm of rain in the lead saw the fourth day of the Riccarton park Summer Racing season conducted on Heavy10 going.
- The feature event was the ODT Southern Mile Qualifier. The Leaonard Stewart trained ZADANE ran out an impressive 5 lengths winner for Gos Jogoo. NAMIBIA MISS and ARCHERFIELD finished in the minor placings to earn points for the $100,000 final at Wingatui on the first Saturday in March.
- The Bevan and Robyn Wilson trained DECISION TIME won the valuable bonus as well as the stakemoney winning the opening race the NZB Insurance Pearl Series Race.
- Russell McKay and Ashley Harrington trained a winning double on the day. IT’S THE VIBE won the 1800 metres maiden and in the following race AREYOUOKAY scored in the 1600 metres maiden. Both were ridden by Diego Montes de Oca.
- Kavish Chowdhoory also rode two winners on the programme.
