Sima Mxothwa had a good day riding a double and winning the Prezzy Card prize
- The last Riccarton Park raceday of the 2026/27 season whilst an Industry Meeting is very special being the Cure Kids Red Nose Charity Raceday. A significant sum of money was raised for a very worthwhile charity through a raceday lunch and fundraiser in the Balmerino Room. A huge effort put in by Will Hall of Cure Kids and the Club support team.
- Held on the Polytrack the racing side of things belonged to young West Melton trainer Nayton Mitchell who prepared two winners REKINDLE and WREN and in doing secured the national gavelhouse.com New Comer to Training Award for the season. Mitchell also won the Prezzy Card trainers prize.
- Terri Rae also prepared two winners BOSS ‘N’ HIGHHEELS and POWEROFPERSUASION to take her season total to 31 wins at an impressive strike rate of 4.97.
- South African born jockey Sima Mxothwa is apprenticed to local trainer Andrew Carston and with two winners and a second was a very pleased winner of the jockey's prize also sponsored by Prezzy Card.
