Terry Moseley and trainer, Alan Reeves with Hew Now post-race
- Midweek racing for the fourth day of the 2026 Polytrack season was held under perfect winter weather.
- Rating 75 provided the highest grade of racing with the game HEY NOW recording the sixth win of his 42-start career in the 1200 metres sprint. Good mates trainer Alan Reeves and evergreen jockey Terry Moseley combined for owner Derek Brook. This was one of two winning rides for Moseley, also successful on the Krystal Williams trained INTO THE WIND.
- Te Akau’s PURPLE ROSE won the Rating 75 1600 metres race from stable mate QUEEN OF NAPLES. Senior trainer Mark Walker was on course himself to saddle the quinella.
- Master horseman David Walsh started LOCHMARA BAY first up since October in the 1600 metres maiden. It was a terrific training effort with the four-year-old mare winning the race under promising apprentice Ashlee Strawbridge who, after a previous stint at Canterbury University, has returned south in recent weeks and become a regular visit to the winners stall.
- Fellow northern apprentice Jack Taplin also had two wins on the programme.
