Brett Murray rode two winners on the day including Le Rogier for Nayton Mitchell
- The 11th and final day of the 2025 Winter Polytrack season provided a seven-race card under fine but cool conditions.
- With a feature meeting on the Turf on Saturday the programme intentionally catered for the lower grades with one Rating 75 and a Rating 65 Pearl Series race the features.
- Te Akau’s entrant COURT OF APPEAL took out the Rating 75 1600 metres event and is on the road to a New Zealand Cup attempt. Brazilian jockey Bruno Queiroz rode the winner.
- GODDESS made it back-to-back wins on the Polytrack having won on the surface on Wednesday 27 August. Bridget Grylls rode the mare by Proisir for Rangiora trainer John Blackadder.
- Cambridge trained HONOKA had been considered good enough by trainer Clinton Isdale to attempt Group 3 company as a three-year-old and shed her maiden tag in the 1600 metres maiden.
- Local jockey Brett Murray has commenced the 2025/26 season in competitive fashion and rode a brace of winners. LE ROGIER for Naython Mitchell and ENTERPRISE GEM for the Pitman training partnership in the last race of the day.
