  • The last Riccarton Park raceday of 2022/23 was held on the Polytrack and provided a major fundraiser as the “Red Nose Day, Races for Cure Kids”. The most enthusiastic fundraisers achieved twice their goal in a most happy and fun filled event.

  • Three winners ELANIA for Mick McCann, AROWOFDIAMONDS owned by the Club Commercial Manager Chris Rowe, and MUMBO JUMBO part owned by past Board member Jan Irving all carried the Red Nose colours.  That resulted in NZTR and TAB NZ each donating $1,000 for each winner to the cause.

  • On the track the day belonged to Andrew Carston who ended the dominance of Michael Pitman as the souths leading trainer with three winners which had him beat Michael & Matthew 42 to 40 on the premiership.

  • Brandon May and Tina Comignaghi each rode two winners with Tina winning the Red Nose jockeys prize by virtue of pits for placings.
