- The penultimate Polytrack meeting of the 2025 Winter season was a seven race Industry meeting and served a purpose of catering for the lower rated horses with a Feature meeting on Turf scheduled for Saturday.
- Northern rider Bridget Grylls rode three winners on the programme. Two of them, NEW BEGINNING and GODDESS, were for Rangiora trainer John Blackadder. The other RADIANT LASS is trained at Timaru by Bruce Tapper and owned by him and wife Karen.
- ALBERTON ANGEL in front of a very enthusiast syndicate was the most impressive winner on the day winning the Entain/NZB Insurance Pearl Series race and the $28,000 of bonuses on top of the $18,500 stake. In the hands of apprentice Donovan Cooper the Meg Cunneen trained mare flew the gates and led throughout over the 1200 metres.
- Another most impressive winner was the Krystal Williams trained PORTHOUSE LADY who stormed home to win the Betavet rating 65. Stable apprentice Floor Moerman rode the mare who incudes former top jockey Jason Laking in the ownership.
