- The fourth day of the 2024 Polytrack season on Thursday 13 June was preceded by extra meeting. After the abandonment of racing at the Waimate Racing Club meeting on Sunday those races not held at Phar Lap Raceway were transferred to a new Polytrack meeting on Wednesday 12 June when a six-race programme was held.
- ZOULANDER and DELPHILLUS both took big steps towards a start in the $100,000 Polytrack Championship over 1200 metres at the Grand National Festival winning the Open 1200 and Rating 65 Fillies and mares 1200, respectively. The former is trained by the Pitman partnership and the latter by Lance Robinson.
- Kylie Williams rode ZOULANDER and JAZAN in the opening races to continue her charge to catch the overseas Tina Comignaghi for southern riding honours this season.
- Racing returned the nest day with a seven-race card.
- Kylie Williams rode another two winners aboard MAGNETO and GIVEALITTLE the later giving Kimberley Hodgson her first ever winner.
- The national jockey’s premiership is becoming a thriller with the never-say-die Michael McNab hunting down season leader Warren Kennedy. McNab rode two winners and Kennedy one to have them both on 119 at the end of the day. However, things may not be all plain sailing for Warren Kennedy who injured a thumb when dislodged from BERBIZIER as the field jumped in the fifth race.
- Denby-Rose Tait had won on STASH the previous day and took the last race aboard STOLEN DECREE for John and Karen Parsons in the last race. That took her to 21 wins for the season one ahead of last years top southern apprentice Yogesh Atchamah and Donovan Cooper.
