  • The third day of the 2025 Polytrack season was an eight race Industry Day with a healthy average of 11.2 starters per race after two late scratchings.

  • Rating 75 races were the highest grade on the programme. Te Akau Racing’s Mark walker and Sam Bergerson produced BEAU BRUMMELL to take out the 1660 metres option, the last of the day and round out a trio of wins for the souths leading stable. Te Akau Racing South island had prepared 39 winners for the season.

  • The Matthew and Michael Pitman Team’s useful JUSTANACE scored win number six in the sprint over the 1200 metres.

  • The most impressive winner was in the opening event. MISS STARLIGHT was one of two two-year-olds to start in the 1200 metres maiden and gave nothing a look in winning by four lengths for John and Karen Parsons.

  • Gun South Island jockey Tina Comignaghi moved to equal second on the national premiership with three winning rides to take her seasons total to 65.
