Polytrack Racing - Day 10 Review - 29 August
Terry Moseley rides a treble
August 30, 2024
Moseley on his 2nd winner, Hey Now
  • Small fields and seven races were the order of the day at a meeting that played a true industry roil with maiden and rating 60 races.

  • CORRECTION looked the bet of the day and so he proved. Trained by dual code trainer Mark Jones and part owned by former Group 1 winning jockey Jason Laking he easily won the Rating 60 1600 metres race. In doing so he gave rider Terry Moseley the first of three winning rides on the last three races of the programme.

  • HEY NOW for Sharon Robertson & Alan Reeves and EXTREME POWER for Brian Court were Moseley’s other two winners.

  • The Entain/NZB Pearl Series Race at rating 65 level was impressively won by the Te Akau-South Island trained NOT STRAIGHT LACED. She beat FOREVER BABE and IDEAL DREAMS for the $28,000 bonus on top of the $18,500 stake.

  • Another dual code trainer Trent Yesberg got a win in the opening maiden over 2200 metres with the ever-consistent IFF I GET PAID.

  • The popular Donna Green is the only thoroughbred trainer at Waterlea and ROBDONTESS rewarded her enthusiasm winning the sprinters maiden.
