  • SOMBRA DEAMOR (image) set a new track record of 1-34.33 when racing past hot favourite CHOISIA PRINCE to win the 1600 metres Riccarton Park Function Centre Rating 65.  The country’s leading rider Michael McNab rode for the Parsons stable..

  • Chris Johnson reminded everyone of his talents in the following race, the last of 6 on the day, snatching victory with a rails run aboard PLATINUM ROAD for dual code trainer Michael House.
  • Brandon May was the other jockey to ride a brace of winner with GLOBAL BEAUTY for Timaru trainer Bruce Tapper and KENKI for Rangiora’s Paul Harris.
