- Balcairn trained KIWI MAGIC justified an attempt at the Al Basti Equiworld NZ 2000 Guineas winning the Halls Cold Chain Logistics Three-year-old over 1400 metres. The win was the third of four winning rides for top jockey Tina Comignaghi who combined with the legendary trainers John and Karen Parsons.
