The Mid-Winter Xmas Raceday was run on a track reflecting the recent fine weather, starting at a Soft 6 but upgraded to 5 after the 2nd race. UNDISPUTED managed a very quick 1:06.83 for the 1200 metres, aided by the strong nor-west wind that blew throughout.
The feature Greenwood Amberley Cup was taken out by Invercargill visitor TOMASINA with Amber Riddell riding for Sabin Kirkland.
Riverton claimed the Sonia and Garry Thompson Open 2000 as the Graham Eade & Brooke Kincaid trained RIVIERA REBEL led throughout for rider, Ashlee Strawbridge.
The Bain McCall Two-Year-Old was won impressively by the favourite, SWEY LOCH. Tina Comignaghi rode for John & Karen Parson.
Th Parsons trained two winners, Comignaghi rode two, as did apprentice, Sima Mxothwa.
