Liam is a Chartered Accountant and has joined the Canterbury Jockey Club after six and a half years’ experience with EY here in Christchurch. Prior to working at EY, Liam went to University of Canterbury where he graduated with a Law and Accounting degree.
Liam comes from a racing family, with his father Will a former jumps jockey and mother Katrina having previously trained racehorses in Melbourne. He has had a large involvement with racing in his life in addition to the family connection, including working for various trainers at Riccarton Park while studying at university, horse ownership and in the last two years working on the starting gates at South Island race meetings.
He looks forward to continuing his involvement in the racing industry with his new role.
