
Winter Fashion in the Field 2023
Saturday 12 August
This year as well as a chance to win the Best Dressed Category you can take home a prize for your Millinery or your amazing Vintage ensemble
Just enter either the Men's or the Women's Best Dressed and the Judges will do the rest
The Fashion Competition is located in the lovely Tea House with the first heat at 12:30pm
Register prior to the day via the link below or on the day from 11:00am in the Tea House
Best Dressed Woman
Our best dressed lady should be showcasing her own personality with head-to-toe attention to detail. A hat or other headgear is required and outfits shall be constructed from winter appropriate fabrics. Accessories, shoes, makeup, and hairstyles should be taken into consideration.
Best Dressed Man
Our best dressed man needs to be wearing a well-tailored/ fitted winter constructed of winter appropriate materials. Suits should not be of a casual style, a hat is preferred but not required. Accessories, shoes, and hairstyles should be taken into consideration.
Millinery Award
Both men and women are eligible for this award. Headwear should consist of winter appropriate materials. This is not a runway category, contenders will be picked from the Best Dressed Man and Woman runways.
Vintage Glamour
Both men and women are eligible for this award. The outfit needs to contain a vintage element, this can include a vintage accessory, piece of clothing, or showcase a vintage silhouette. This is not a runway category, contenders will be picked from the Best Dressed Man and Woman runways.
Entry in the competition is free but you will need a Festival Ticket $25 or upgrade to a Fashion Ticket $70

Results 2022 Canterbury Jockey Club Member Pauline Pattullo was our overall winner and is off to the Cairns Amateurs Racing Carnival in September. This was sponsored by Youngman and Son & IBK Photography and includes Airfares, Accommodation and an entry to the top 10 in the Cairns Central Fashion in the Field
First Runner Up Gemma Kirk will be enjoying her 18ct Tahitian Pearl Stud Earrings from Youngs Jewellers
Second Runner Up Anna Campbell is off to dinner at Amazonita with friends to try out some Marisco Wines
Men's First Overall Stephen Mwaba won four tickets to the Stables, Al Basti Equiworld NZ 2000 Guineas Raceday, Saturday 5 November
Men's Runner Up Daniel McCullum- will be visit from Australia again to use his two tickets to the Stables, Al Basti Equiworld NZ 2000 Guineas Raceday
