Limited Attendance Planned

The Riccarton Park race meeting to be held on Saturday 12 February 2022 will be run with groups of up to 100 people as permitted under the conditions of the Government NZ COVID-19 Protection Framework RED and the New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing COVID-19 Emergency Regulations.

Owners, Sponsors, and Members will be able to attend an indoor option and an outdoor carpark ‘boot-party’ option to the east of the birdcage on the following basis.

  • All attendees must be pre-registered.
  • There will be no walk-up attendance on the day.
  • The Vaccine Pass must be presented at the entrance to the racecourse.
  • The Official QR Code/s must be scanned on arrival.
  • One metre distancing, seated, served, and separated rules apply in all hospitality areas.
  • Attendees must wear masks, other than when eating and drinking.
  • Entry is via the Show Gate Reserved Carpark entrance only.
  • NZTR stakeholders will be contained in their own ‘bubble’ and will not be able to mix in other areas.  Fencing will define and secure the two areas.

The Club will make direct contact with owners regarding their options when the fields are drawn.

Members of the Club will be contacted directly via email and will be required to pre-register their confirmation to attend.

The deadline for registration will be noon Thursday 10 February 2022.
